Vice President to inaugurate Scientific Convention on World Homoeopathy Day Tomorrow

A two-day scientific convention is being organised in New Delhi by Ministry of AYUSH on the occasion of World Homoeopathy Day, on 10-11th April 2018. The Vice President Shri. M. Venkaiah Naidu will be the chief guest at the function while Minister of State (I/C) for AYIJSH Shri Shripad Yesso Naik will preside. This day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of Homoeopathy Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann. Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha Dr. Manoj Rajoria and Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha will be the Guest of Honours. The theme of this convention is "Innovate: Evolve; Progress: Exploring Science since 40 years". The delegates at the convention would include homoeopathic researchers, practitioners, students, industrialists as we all as representatives of various homoeopathic associations. Shri Vijay Goel discusses MPLD Scheme with Hon’ble Members of Rajya Sabha

An open House was organized at the initiative of Hon’ble Minister of State (MOS) for Statistics & Programme implementation with Hon’ble Members of Rajya Sabha for first time to understand the problems in smooth implementation of MPLAD Scheme and also elicit getting their suggestions for improvement. Initiating the discussion Minister told them that in last four years 3.17 lakh number of works were completed. The MPLADS portal is also being improved so as more information can be given and a transparent and friendly information system can work. Hon’ble MOS inaugurated a pocket book on Scheme guideline, to be used as a ready reckoner, and also launched an e-book on the scheme. The e-book highlights the good quality assets created under the scheme as well as informs about the basic feature/ provisions of the scheme. A number of MPs attended the meeting. Now 97.05 lakh subscribers base under Atal Pension Yojana

At the end of Financial Year 2017-18 , 97.05 lakh subscribers have enrolled under Atal Pension Yojana. The incremental addition of 48.21 lakh subscribers was a 98% more than previous Financial Year 2016-17 figure of 48.83 lakhs. PFRDA appreciates the efforts taken out by the APY Service Providers (Banks/DoP) for their contribution towards making India a Pensioned Society. PFRDA has taken various initiatives for the expansion of outreach and ease the operations under APY. Online facility to view Statement of Account and ePRAN card was enabled for the ease access of account of APY subscribers, going ahead mobile applications for empowering the subscribers to view transactions and other details of their APY account was introduced.
