CIC to hold seminar on Health and RTI tomorrow


The Central Information Commission (CIC) is holding a seminar here tomorrow on the topic “Health and Right to Information Act”. The Seminar is aimed at Health and Right to Information Act 2005, with a view to improve governance in the Health sector.
Prof. M. Sridhar Acharyulu, Information Commissioner, CIC, Dr. Sheela Priya, State Chief Information Commissioner, Tamil Nadu, Shri Alok Saxena, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health (AIDS Control and Ayushman Bharat), Dr. Sabahat S. Azim, Chief Executive Officer, Global Healthcare System, Dr. Manu Mathur, Sr. Research Scientist and Associate Professor & Ms. Neha Tomar, Manager (Legal), Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), Mr. Sunil Nandraj, Ex- Advisor, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and Dr. Jayant Kumar Dass, Director, National Institute of Health Family Welfare (NIHFW) are scheduled to participate in the Seminar and give their presentation.



All present and former Chief Information Commissioners and Information Commissioners of the CIC, CICs and ICs from State Information Commissions as well as the other government officers will participate. Some nominated NGOs working at ground level in the area of Health sector will also attend the seminar.

All women high altitude expedition to Mount Deotibba (6001 Mtrs) which is located in Himachal Pradesh, has been organised by the Indian Navy from 28 May to 15 Jun 2018. India Signs Loan agreement with World Bank for usd 48 million for Meghalaya Community - Led Landscapes Management Project

A Loan Agreement for IBRD loan of USD 48 million for the “Meghalaya Community - Led Landscapes Management Project (MCLLMP)” was signed here today with the World Bank. The Loan Agreement was signed by Mr. Sameer Kumar Khare, Joint Secretary (MI), Department of Economic Affairs on behalf of the Government of India and Mr. Hisham A Abdo Kahin, Acting Country Director, World Bank (India) on behalf of the World Bank. A Project Agreement was also signed by Mr. P. Sampath Kumar, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya & CEO, Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) and Mr. Hisham A Abdo Kahin, Acting Country Director, World Bank (India).
